  Volkswagen Passat CC updates, a passenger, four-door with a silhouette similar to that of a coupe. This model has slight changes to the exterior, interior and equipment. Available in early 2012, it is an update of the model that came to market in 2008. There will be two diesel versions, with 140 and 170 hp, and three petrol, 160, 210 and 300 hp. Targeted at low consumption, all have a Diesel of stop-start engine and a generator that works primarily during deceleration to avoid watering down the engine under acceleration. This latter device is also available in petrol variants. The lower power version of the diesel engine is the 140 hp manual gearbox with six speeds delivering 4.7 l/100 km. Consumption is low given the weight and size of the Passat CC. This is equal to the version 2.0 TDI DPF 140 hp “BlueMotion Technology” model 2008.

• The Ferrari 458 Italia

  Today, Motor Trend announced the winner of its 2011 Best Driver’s Car competition. The Ferrari 458 Italia took the top honors, beating out the other ten cars in the field. The annual roundup takes into account several factors, including lapping at California’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, instrumented testing and street driving. Interestingly, the 458 Italia didn’t have the quickest lap time, nor did it record the best straight-line numbers. A Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with the Z07 suspension package and barely street-legal tires managed a blistering 1:34.43 second lap at Laguna Seca, beating the 458 Italia by nearly two seconds. The 458 Italia also fell short of winning the acceleration tests, losing out to the 2012 Nissan GT-R and its all-wheel-drive. So why did it win? • All new BMW M5 F10

  The most powerful and most sporty M5 is about to hit showrooms very soon. It has 4.4 liter V8 twin turbo motor that produces a 560 hp which is 10 percent more than the model it will replace. Torque is rated at 502 ft lb (680 Nm). The new M5 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). However with M drivers package top speed elevates to 190 mph (305 km/h). The new M5 has a double clutch seven speed automatic gearbox with a Launch control function to improve acceleration.
